Deliver safety training to Canada's energy industry.

The Authorized Training Provider (ATP) program gives you the opportunity to deliver Licensed Energy Safety Canada health and safety courses. 

Joining the program means more than offering courses — it means becoming part of a national network dedicated to improving safety performance in Canada’s energy industry.

Your responsibilities

  • 01Delivering Licensed Energy Safety Canada courses in person using approved ESC materials.
  • 02Partnering with ESC Certified Instructors to facilitate training.
  • 03Advertising, scheduling and hosting classes at your training facility.
  • 04 Submitting course documentation to Energy Safety Canada for worker certification.


 

How to apply

Step 1

Review the ATP Handbook & Submit Your Application

  • Review the ATP Handbook
  • Complete the Application Form
  • Include all required documents
  • ESC will review documents and, if pre-approved, contact the applicant to pay the $1,000 application fee

 

What we look for

 

Complete Application

All required information and documentation must be provided.

Business Relationship

The applicant's history of working with Energy Safety Canada, if any, is considered.

Facilities and Equipment

Training spaces and equipment must meet the standards needed to deliver the identified courses.

Regional Need

ESC assesses whether the region is already well served by existing ATPs.

Instructor Availability

Certified Instructors are available in the region to deliver courses.

Experience in Adult Education

Applicants should demonstrate relevant experience in delivering training to adult learners.
