Getting your certificate

Online courses

Upon successful completion of the course, you can print your certificate from your Energy Safety Canada account. Your certificate will be saved to your account so you can access it any time or add your training record directly to your Apple or google Wallet.

Classroom courses

You’ll receive your Energy Safety Canada certificate upon successful completion of the course.

If there's an error on your certificate and you notice it before you leave the class, we’ll provide you with a Temporary Course Completion Letter that proves you passed. You will receive a permanent certificate by mail within 30 days.

Course taken with an Authorized Training Provider?

Upon successful completion, you will receive your certificate directly from the Authorized Training Provider before you leave on the final day of your course.

It can take up to 5 business days for your certificate to show on your Energy Safety Canada account. Once it’s in the system, you can view your updated training record or order a certificate reprint. You can also add your training record to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for easy access on your phone.

To protect your privacy and security of paper certificates, ESC will never email, fax or scan copies. ESC will only provide employers with verbal and or/email certificate status if authorized by the cardholder. All digital records can be downloaded from the student's account.

If you require a replacement certificate for any reason, you can request a replacement online or in-person:

Online

Log into My Account. Go to My Certificates and select replace.

In Person

Visit an ESC office in Calgary, Nisku, Fort St. John or Weyburn. Bring one piece of government-issued photo ID. Your certificate will be printed while you wait.

Certificate Security

Energy Safety Canada certificates prove that a worker has successfully completed one of our training courses. Fake or altered certificates put everyone at risk. That’s why we take extra steps to keep training records safe and easy to verify.

Some features on valid certificate:

  • Unique certificate ID number
  • QR code for instant validation
  • Embossed foil
  • Built-in security features

 

Use these images to compare against any certificate you receive. If something looks off like missing details, blurry print, or no QR code, it might be counterfeit.
