Summary

The guideline describes the role and responsibilities of a Joint Work Site Health and Safety Committee (HSC). An HSC is a group of worker and management representatives who work together to reduce injuries and incidents and improve workplace safety.
 

Formerly known as IRP 9, this guideline provides an overview of Health and Safety Committees (HSCs) and their role in improving workplace health and safety. It outlines best practices to help employers establish and maintain effective committees that support hazard identification, incident learning and worker participation.
