Summary

The Process Safety Metrics and Event Reporting Guide provides direction for classifying and reporting process safety events (PSEs) at a corporate level and within Energy Safety Canada’s secure, members-only Data Gateway.

The guideline covers Tier 1 and Tier 2 process safety events involving a loss of primary containment (LOPC) in upstream and midstream oil and natural gas operations.
