Richard is the Vice President of Regulatory and Operations at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). Richard spearheads major policy and regulatory initiatives spanning British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Atlantic Canada. Collaborating with a highly skilled team, he engages with governments, regulators, and stakeholders nationwide, driving transformative change to position Canada as the preferred source of safe, secure, reliable, affordable, and responsibly produced energy. Richard also serves as a director on the boards of the Alberta Orphan Well Association and Alberta Data Partnerships.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston. He is a Professional Engineer and an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). 
 

Luke is the CEO of Woodfibre LNG and former Vice President with LNG Canada. With over 20 years of experience in the Royal Canadian Navy and international energy sector, Luke has led major business and digital transformations, driving world-class safety and ESG performance. Luke has overseen large-scale projects, regulatory compliance, and integrated value chains across diverse portfolios. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta and British Columbia.

Laura is the Senior Vice President, Safety, Projects, and Chief Administrative Officer at Enbridge, overseeing key corporate functions, including human resources, supply chain, and project execution. She led the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning implementation and was part of the executive integration team following Enbridge’s merger with Spectra Energy. Laura has also held senior finance and strategy roles at Duke Energy and Spectra Energy. She holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Columbia University and has served on nonprofit boards, including the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Russell is the Vice President of Operations at the Canadian Association of Energy Contractors, bringing over 22 years of industry experience. He leads technical standardization efforts, government relations, and committee engagement, and serves as Vice Chair of the Drilling and Completions Committee (DACC). His career began at Baker Hughes in drill bit design and testing, followed by engineering and operations roles at Suncor and Cenovus, where he managed drilling programs across key assets. Russell is a Professional Licensee (Eng.) with APEGA and a Professional Technologist (Eng.) with ASET. He holds a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from SAIT.

Gurpreet is the President and CEO of Enserva, bringing more than 20 years of experience in policy, advocacy, and nonprofit leadership. A lawyer by training, she has held senior roles at STARS, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, and the Fraser Institute. She helped expand STARS’ reach across Western Canada and is a vocal advocate for the energy sector. Gurpreet holds a degree in political science from the University of Lethbridge and a law degree from the University of Alberta.

Kevin is the CEO and Co-Founder of Avatar Innovations, Canada’s first energy venture studio. With 25 years in the energy sector, he started as a roughneck and rose to become CEO of Canada’s oldest drilling company, Beaver Drilling Ltd. He has since focused on accelerating energy transition technologies through commercialization and collaboration. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business.

Tejay is the Vice President, Operations Planning at ARC Resources, responsible for long-term production and infrastructure planning, facilities design, water and emissions management, and capital program planning. With over 19 years of energy industry experience, he brings strong technical and commercial expertise in production and operations. Since joining ARC in 2006, he has held progressively senior roles, most recently as Manager, Operations Planning.
Tejay is a Professional Licensee (Eng.) with APEGA and a Professional Technologist (Eng.) with ASET. He holds a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from SAIT.
 

Dean is the Senior Vice President, Safety, Risk Management, and Innovation at Canadian Natural Resources, where he leads initiatives to improve operational safety and business resilience. With a background in engineering and previous roles at ATCO Gas and Colt Engineering, he brings decades of experience in energy systems and risk mitigation. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

Cheryl is the Senior Vice President, Upstream at Imperial Oil, responsible for leading upstream operations across assets including Kearl, Cold Lake, Norman Wells, and Syncrude. She brings over 30 years of global experience with ExxonMobil, where she held senior leadership roles in the U.S., Kazakhstan, Qatar, and Russia. Her work has spanned operations, safety and risk management, strategic project development, and stakeholder engagement at the ministerial and executive level. Cheryl has served on numerous industry and advisory boards, including the National Safety Council and Society of Women Engineers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Tulane University.

Céline is the President and Group Director, Americas at Fugro, where she leads operations across North and South America for the world’s leading geo-data and advisory company. With more than 25 years of experience, she has a strong track record of growing complex technical businesses across energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Prior to Fugro, Céline served as the Vice President and Global Account Director at Schlumberger, with a focus on energy transition, sustainability, and digital transformation. She also previously served as the President of Schlumberger Canada Ltd. Céline holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Finance, and Marketing from the European University of Brussels, a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Mike is the President of the Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors (CAGC), representing seismic companies across the resource sector. With nearly 25 years in the role, he advocates for an industry that supports oil and gas, mining, geothermal, and emerging sectors. Mike’s background spans logistics, heavy construction, and association leadership. He has served on several boards, including the Petroleum Human Resources Sector Council of Canada.

Colin is the President and CEO of AKITA Drilling, bringing legal and operational expertise to the role. He joined AKITA Drilling in 2019 and has held leadership positions in operations, legal, and corporate governance. He is a Director of the Canadian Association of Energy Contractors and holds the Governance Fellows Designation from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
